Just Push Play Aerosmith

About thus album:
Ever since their second wave of success in the 1980s brought them back into sold-out arenas, Aerosmith fought for artistic balance on their albums. They were a hard rock band in the 1970s at a time when hard rock was popular currency. However, from the 1980s and beyond, heavier groups have had to diversify in order to expand their audiences. The ballads have to be strong and melodic. The hard rockers require catchy, succinct lead guitar lines among the powerchords and the rhythms must keep the groove on. Working with producers Mark Hudson and Marti Frederiksen, Steven Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry put their stamp on these grand anthems to love and lust. “Jaded,” written by Tyler and bassist Tom Hamilton,” deserves its spot as one of Aerosmith’s best known latter-day hits. The power ballad “Fly Away From Here,” the brooding “Sunshine” and the Rocks-like funk of “Under My Skin” show the band still punching through the surface.
